triumph spitfire 1500

1980 Triumph Spitfire Description:

I bought this vehicle from a copart 4 years ago with the intention of taking it apart and restoring it piece by piece when I bought it the car had damage from an electrical fire that damaged the electrical harness and alternator and distiputor I bought used parts and fixed it temporarily such that I could drive it around. From what I could tell this was the main reason for it being turned into a salvage title. I bought new bucket seats and 4 point harness but never got around to installing them.the front bumper Crome is rough and the rear bumper has paint covering the chrome that I never got around to stripping. The wheels also have paint covering the original finish. This car does not come with the convertible top as I do not have it. Currently the car is in pieces the front brakes are off the distributor is off the dash is apart and some of the carpet is pulled up. I am selling the car because we are moving and I don’t have the time to mess around with it anymore.The body and frame are in excellent condition. But the car is a project and needs many parts such as: battery, distributor, convertible top, new wiring harness, new front brake calipers( the ones I have are seized) From what I am tell the previous owner was into racing as he had the heater removed and welded up as well as the preforme parts added on.This car has a couple of very nice features and has excellent potential to be a project car or perhaps a good car for a parts car but that would be a shame. The paint and body are in absolutely fantastic condition, it has a Weber carburetor and electronic fuel pump. It has brand new tires.i have two new bucket seats and the old seats that came with the car. It has a new master and slave clutch. I had the hood repainted as the fire caused the paint to crack however I did not have the underside of the hood painted I just primed it. This would be a great project car just need time and money which I do not have right now.
