1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series Description:

Completely restored 1985 300CD, New MB tex front and rear seats. New MB carpet. New front seat belts.All exterior trim and rubber were remove prior to new paint and all rubber weatherstrip was replace from Mercedes to include front and rear glass doors and side windows sunroof and trunk.80% of the trim was replaced with new from Mercedes. I put practically new front and rear Euro bumpers on it and will include original US bumpers in really good shape with car. All mechanicals were thourohly gone through and replaced if needed ( 4 bilstein shocks front upper control arms L&R tie rods, rear sway bar links, front and rear brake pads and flexible brake lines. Engine has new timing tensioner chain and guides.Compression is cyl 1-420, 2-400, 3-400, 4-420, 5-400. Its a strong solid engine so there was no point in doing any more than timing chain work. All filter are new along with fluids. Front seal, oil filter housing gasket and turbo oil return line gasket and seals were replaced. Turbo bearing, impeller and gaskets were replace and then balanced. AC blows cold and compressor, temp/pressure switches and dryer were replaced. All vacuum servos in seats and dash were replaced. Dash was restored to new condition along with all wood trim. Sunroof was removed prior to paint and all tracks and guides cleaned and lubricated with Mercedes grease, all felt slides were replaced also.All door, fuel tank door and trunk vacuum systems work as new. It has 4 new pirrelli tires and almost new spare. original owners manual jack, tool kit and first aid kit are with it. Its come with 2 new covercraft car covers. 1 is weathersheild HP in Tan and the other is a wolf ready fit semi custom cover. It was a well cared for and garage kept car when I got it. As a retired Mercedes mechanic I restore these older cars for something to do.
