Presenting a project in progress: a 1987 VW Vanagon Wolfsburg GL Tin Top, a nostalgic gem that's only a few steps away from being reborn! Alas, with divided focus on my '91 VW Camper, it's time to hand over this promising project to a true Vanagon enthusiast who will appreciate the work invested and realize its potential.
This Vanagon is a vintage dream, tantalizingly close to completion. Please note that while this vehicle is listed in multiple places, I retain the right to end the auction if it sells locally.
To complete this project, you will need to finalize the auxiliary battery setup (parts already included), address minor body work, and if desired, indulge her with a fresh paint job and an exhilarating sound system. Rectifying the brake light indicator and replacing the air conditioner frame bolts are also on the agenda. A little fine-tuning of the fuel delivery system would iron out an occasional stalling issue at stop signs.
With a commitment to full transparency, I acknowledge that I'll be absorbing a significant loss on this van. She's currently stationed in Northern Idaho, waiting for her new custodian.
The Vanagon features rear-facing jump seats and a table, and the bench seat conveniently converts into a bed. A considerable amount of restoration work, primarily from GoWesty and VanAgain, has already been implemented.
