1986 Volkswagen Vanagon GL

1986 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon GL Description:

This is 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon GL. She is a beautiful blue sporting her original paint (the roof is missing most of its paint). The interior is also a matching shade of blue but there is hardwood floor in the back to make clean ups easy at the beach. She has 4-cylinder watercooled engine and runs like a champ. 4-speed manual hasn't let me down yet. This VW Bus has A/C but the belt isn't hooked up and I haven't had a need for it. It has a sony bluetooth/aux headunit with some speakers under the rear seat (fronts aren't hooked up). The bus is in great shape considering its age, the paint has started to patina a bit, there are a few rust spots in the common areas around the windows. Only the rear hatch rust spot (the most common) I would consider bad the others are just surface rust and it has been a California car its whole life so the rest of the body is good. The interior could use a deep cleaning but as long as I have owned it have taken very good care to vacuum and clean the interior as best I can. Everything works as it should EXCEPT the windshield wipers. I haven't tracked that little gremlin down yet. If you are interested I am open to having the car inspected by your mechanic. There is no warranty of any kind on this Vanagon. I also have it listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells locally.
This is a sweet bus for the beach or camping of any kind. It already has surfboard racks installed. Sometimes I use it to commute to work and it gives me no problems at all.
