1987 Toyota 4runner SR5

1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Turbo Description:

1987 Toyota 4runner with 266k miles on the body. 22re motor/ automatic transmission. If interested, please read the entire ad.

The good: RUST FREE. These things are tough to find and even harder to find with no rust. It was originally a factory turbo sr5(super rare) but has been motor swapped to the 22re. No serious oil leaks etc. It has the original digital cluster that came on the turbo models that functions perfectly. It also has the original altimeter-inclinometer gauges on the dash and they all work. The interior is in good shape for the year. No rips or tears in the upholstery and its original. Power windows and locks that work as they should as well. Heat works and has a/c, but it doesn't blow cold- I haven't checked into it. The top is in good shape with no leaks(does have a spot of rust on a trim piece). The truck drives down the road nicely and has a good set of 31/10.5/15's. It runs pretty good. No smoking etc. The transmission shifts through the gears like it should but does seem to have a pretty firm shift. No slipping or funky noises. It also locks in and out of 4x4 as it should. No check engine light or any other warning lights.

The bad: the truck has a salvaged title. I do not know why, I purchased it this way. It is also a 30 year old rig, so expect it to need a few things here and there. The body is in good shape with a few minor dings here and there and the clear coat is fading on the majority of it. It also has a slight exhaust leak at the collector. The rotors need turned, as there is a slight shimmy while braking hard. The fuel gauge is also a little finicky and I don't fully trust it.
