1987 Toyota 4Runner Description:
1987 Toyota 4Runner 5 speed 4x4 Convertible SUV with soft top for sale. The truck is in great shape, it runs very well. This is basically the coolest SUV ever made in my opinion. It's like a wrangler but way better because there aren't a lot of these around in this kind of condition especially with soft tops.This is the only drive-able 1st Gen 4runner for sale in New England, the truck is also listed on Maine Craigslist.
Recent tune up within the last 200 miles includes:
-All new belts
-All new fluids
-New spark plugs
-New exhaust manifold
-New front brakes and rotors
-New Clutch and throw out bearing.
-New Battery-New Muffler
All the service has been performed by Ken "the toyota guy" in Buxton, Maine, with documentation (you can google him).
There are 262k miles on the truck but only 50k on the rebuilt fuel injected 22-RE engine
No leaks. California documented truck see image #19. The frame has no rust and is in great shape. The body is in good shape with only the rear driver side fender bubbling and with a tiny hole (not pictured). This is common for and old Toyota. A small dent in the rear tailgate, and a small one in the passenger side door. The doors are from a different truck and I have a quart of paint to match them.. I also have OEM rear bumper, an OEM skid plate, and OEM directional controls, and OEM gas tank flap, and an original 1987 Toyota 4Runner Repair manual (total value about $750). The rear window is operational. I have all the original exterior trim pieces. The 4x4 is operational. I also installed 16 inch alloy tacoma rims which really opens up tire options compared to the stock 15" rims, the tires are Michelin and have about 5k miles left . This truck is in overall good shape and runs very nice. It was going to be my truck for a long time but we are moving and I must sell.
