1966 Renault Dauphine Description:

For sale is this 1966 Renault Dauphine. I've owned it since 2013. The original owner was an old lady from Grand Rapids, Michigan. She bought it new in June of 1966 there, at the dealership. I still have a photocopy of the original title with her name on it. The car is titled in my name and comes with the original keys, various owner's manuals and spare parts that were passed on to me as well. The car has 19735 original miles on it. It is not perfect and shows a few dings, scratches and touch ups here and there but still is a very presentable honest car. This car is very solid with a few minimal surface rust spots shown in pictures. The 845cc engine starts and runs as it should. The car had an automatic transmission, but I had it switched to a 3 speed manual for better reliability and more pep. The automatic transmission is included with the car. The "brain" and the push button pod needed to activate the auto transmission are still installed in the car.

I've just noticed the speedometer is clocking the miles but is not showing the speed anymore. Also, a new sending unit in the gas tank will have to be installed if you want a correct read on the gas gauge. Lights, blinkers, horn, and dome lights work fine.

The weather strip around most of the doors will need to be eventually replaced. I have a new roll for it in the spare parts box.

These rear engine, rear wheel drive cars did participate in the Mille Miglia, they are cool, you will get thumbs up everywhere you go.
