1989 Pontiac Firebird BASE Description:
Up for your consideration is this Running and driving Firebird Base Coupe. It is a true survivor car.I bought it 9 years or so ago and let my son drive it as his first car. He bought himself a new car this year and I was going to do a restoration but I have other projects. All original except for the radio, rear tail lights and wheels. I bypassed the VAT System (security with chip in key) and installed a new ignition lock without the chip. There is rust on the rockers and door bottoms and on the driver's floor board. The headliner is loose. Console door is not attached. Interior needs a good cleaning but it is Fair. I sprayed a light coat of single stage enamel on the car in 2010 because the paint was very faded. As far as I know there has been no body work done to this car. Tires are in like new condition. Car has Power Steering and Brake, AC works, and a 5 speed transmission.I believe the Clutch is even original. Headlight motors work. Has had radiator air/fuel sensor,starter,Alternator, tail pipes, and distributor replaced within the past 2 years. Needs a tune up (has a slight miss) No warning lights are on.
