1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Description:

1964 Comet Caliente from Tennessee with 81,106 miles. No documentation to prove original miles. May have turned over but from what it was when I purchased, I believe the mileage is accurate. Later model 302 roller motor, with approximately 380 hp. that has been broken in but only driven less that 20 miles. Aluminum heads, comp. cam hydraulic roller with roller rockers, aluminum intake, quick fuel 600, HEI distributor, Headman headers flowing into custom exhaust with cutouts. Completely rebuilt C4 automatic, 3.55 8 inch curry posi. Four row aluminum radiator. Heater delete. This car has 3 coats of wimbledon white base and 3 coats of clear. Has been cut and buffed. New custom interior seat cover, new carpet, headliner and package tray. New brakes all around. Shoes, wheel cylinders. New duel bowl master cylinder with new brake lines all around. There was some body work done prior to paint. Rear quarters and drivers door. Nothing major but some filler was used. One spot on driver door has lifted where a small piece of metal was welded in. Nothing severe and was told it would be a quick fix. (See Picture) AFX fiberglass hood. Perfect re-chromed bumpers that look great. I haven't driven the car much since completing the restoration, but it has lot of power and drives well. Will be a nice street car that can be shown proudly at any car show. What the car still needs? Neutral safety switch. Front end alignment. Seat belts. Nice car needing very little to be near perfect. I am selling to make room for a new project.
