I am helping my friend sell off a few cars in his collection and the first is a very nice 64 Comet Caliente two door coupe.It’s an original 260 V8 with a rebuilt C4 automatic.It recently had a suspension rebuild and the brake system has been overhauled.The car runs and drives excellent.It has also had a new custom dual exhaust system installed and four new BF Goodrich T/A Radials installed on polished Weld aluminum wheels.On a scale of one to ten, with ten being perfect, the paint is an eight.The chrome and stainless trim are in excellent condition with no pitting or hazing.Just look at the grille and tail light panel pictures.Their condition is amazing for the age of the car.The interior is also in excellent condition with no cracks, tears or fading.Even the original steering wheel is crack free.The body and floors are rust free.There is a small amount in the rear wheel houses, easily fixable, but that’s it.Honestly, if the car is stored in a garage and not used in inclement weather, there’s little need to do anything.I can send pictures of those areas if requested.This car will cruise all day long down the highway and is fun to drive on the back roads.It’s great for the pleasure drive, car shows or cruise nights.If you’re looking for a classic car with great eye appeal, don’t let this one get away!!!!
