I have a 1961 Mercury Comet. This was a previous storage find for over 12 years in Fort Pierce. I've had it as a project of mine for over a year now and have gotten the majority of the drivetrain finished. 68k original miles with one owner car. This is a very rare car with the options that it has. It is a 3spd automatic which is rare for this model. I never titled it in my name for that fact. I am starting a business and unfortunately don't have the time or money to keep her.
The following Upgrades have been made
Rebuilt carb. W/ warranty.
Full tune up.
New cooling lines.
Flushed all fluids
Replaced gas tank, but still has original in trunk
New battery
All lights work.
Runs and drives great
Mechanical needs
-Fuel pump gasket leaks
-Rear springs and shocks need replacing causing rear suspension to sit low.
-horn contact steering wheel needed
-Driver window is off track
-needs front brake wheel cylinders. Shoes are good all the way around
Body needs
-needs trunk lid
-needs rear wheel wel/ quarter panels repaired from rust but minimal. See in pictures.
Interior needs
-front seat needs to be redone
-needs new carpet.
Great overall car. Can be driven home depending upon distance. Could be a good restoration or rat rod, or restrooms. Not in a rush to sell. No low ball offers. I know what this car can be worth. Asking $8000 obo. I am also open to trades of same value. My names chris call or text
