1970 Mercury Cougar Painted chrome Description:

Selling this 1970 Mercury Cougar. The body is perfectly straight, great shape. New floor pans and partial rear quarters. Rockers and shock towers are perfect. Most of the body work has been done, just needs a litter filler for tiny imperfection then ready for paint. The holes for the badges were welded shut because I didn't want any badges on the car, the chrome has all been sanded and primed with self etching primer. The motor is a 351 Cleveland built with about 30,000 miles on it. It was bored .030 over and the heads are ported and have 4bbl valves. The Valves seals were just replaced. The distributor is brand new, with new alternator, starter and starter solenoid. Also has new 750 CFM double pumper carburetor with electronic choke. The transmission is rebuilt by World Transmissions to handle 450HP and has a shift kit. The rear end was just rebuilt with all new bearings and seals. 3.55 gears installed and converted to posi. Brakes have been completely rebuilt with new drums and cylinders in the rear, all new brake lines. Fronts are disk with new hubs and rotars. Brand new exhaust system with headers. The button of the car from the motor back was sand blasted, the front portion was wire wheeled and all of it was painted with POR-15. The interior has new carpet and the front seats have new foam and seat covers. The balance of the parts are included with the sale and will be shipped with the car.
