When introduced the W124 proved to be a very solid, safe, and dependable model.
I am the second owner of this vehicle.I got the car in 2005 with approximately 118K on the odometer. I have a folder of service records from my ownership and a few from original owner. I have spent over $5K in various repairs and maintenance since 2005.

Just A few of the larger repairs are as follow:

·Transmission rebuilt at 159,892 miles ($2,231.99)

·Replaced radiator ($650)

·Replace head gasket and valve cover gasket, engine belt ($1,750)

·Replaced Brake pads(front) rotors, bop sensor ($546)

·M16 throttle actuator replaced ($1,251.12)

·Replace upper timing cover seal, valve cover gasket, alarm module replaced ($740)

·At 116,000 miles’ original owner had rear differential replaced by dealer and wheel bearings ($4,127.67)

I used the car sparingly as a third vehicle. In 12 years of owning it I drove approximately 43,000 miles average 3,500 miles per year.

The car runs and drives...needs a repaint (sun has taken its toll on top surfaces) dash and seats are in great condition...car has built in radar, cell phone in center armrest has original set of wheels as well as aftermarket set.

The car can be used as a parts car (is worth more in parts than whole) or if someone who had knowledge of the W124 and the mechanical ability they could continue to use it as a driver. Could make a great restoration project. The W124 wagons have a cult following and a lot of people are realizing how great these cars are and an opportunity to buy them cheap and investing money into restoring the cars.Buyer ends up with a very cool wagon. The E320 are the perfect wagons. Perfect size and great styling!
