1971 Jeep CJ Description:

I love this CJ-5 but I am finding less and less time to drive her or maintain her without help from mechanics. It is my lack of time and money to pay others that prompts this sale. I have driven this for 5 summers strait as a daily driver to work and around my local streets. I did not drive her last summer but I did work on the engine and the brakes a fair bit. I did not finish the brakes as I could not find the time. Brakes need a new master cylinder. I would recomend replacing the brake lines as well. There is no evidence that the brake lines are bad, it's what other CJ-5 owners recomend doing. She was stored outdoors under a cover and not driven during the winters. I bought this jeep and replaced the floor, fuel tanks and got the engine going. There have been many little fixes over the years to keep her running and road safe, too many to list. The frame is good and everything is very original. Comes with a steel half cap and doors. Has a 4 speed transmission to make street driving a little more pleasant. The odometer does not work so milage is an unknown. A few weekends of work and you could be cruising in style this summer. Please contact me with serious questions or inquires only.
