1989 Ford Mustang GT Description:

Hello,
I am selling my 1989 Mustang GT Convertible. The car has been great to me, but it needs a new home. I am selling due to storage and time constraints, otherwise I would be keeping the car. There is no grinding when shifting through the forward gears and the engine runs absolutely beautifully. I am essentially the second owner of the car. The first owner was an older man who had the car for over 24 years. He babied the car, and drove it frequently to California from Minnesota to see his son who was in the military, hence the mileage. The car was always stored indoors and has never seen snow. The car was sold to a relative when the older man had financial troubles, and the relative stored it and sold it to me shortly after. There is zero rust on the car. The clutch is newer and is in good shape. The drive train has not been modified or abused.
New parts the vehicle has in the last year to prepare the car for the new owner performed by an automotive professional:

• Brand new tires all around (less than 100 miles)
• New brake pads, rotors, and steel brake lines up front
• New inner tie rods, outer tie rods, and sway bar linkages
• Freshly changed transmission fluid (less than 100 miles)
• New Felpro rear main seal (this was done as preventative maintenance, the original RMS is known to leak on these cars)
• New Motocraft spark plugs, and fresh oil with Motocraft filter
• New fan belt

Buyer should consider:

• There is an oil leak coming from the valve cover gasket (as examined by a Ford technician). When the car sells, I will have the Felpro valve cover gasket I purchased professionally installed.
• A/C and Cruise Control, to my knowledge, do not function.
• There is some discoloration on the GT panels where the previous owner used touch up paint
• The driver's side and passenger side seats are in fair condition. The driver's side seat has some small tears (I will provide pictures as soon as I am able). Rear seats are in great condition.
• Small leak in the top where the top meets the windshield. I am able to hand-wash the car with zero issues, but extreme rain would be a problem.
