1989 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible

For sale is my 1989 Ford Mustang GT convertible. 1989 was Ford Mustang's 25th Anniversary.

It was bought new in Tulsa, OK and it remained there most all its life, until I brought it to Texas. It has a trunk full of paperwork, including its original 1989 temporary license plate, documentation, booklets, keys, top cover with bag andits MSRP window sticker. It comes with its original 5.0 liter V8, 4 speed automatic transmission and8.8 posi-traction rear end. Factory power convertible top, A/C, power steering, power disc brakes, power windows, power mirrors and power door locks. Whenever possible, Ford original parts were located and used in repairs. Car has been kept as original as possible.Has its original top, paint and interior. Always garaged and maintained. No rust or rot on body, trunk or floors. Very clean underneath. The car is capable of being adaily driver or aweekend-vacation car and fit in at your local car shows. The interior is exceptionally nice. The paint is slick and shiney. Wheels are in great shape.

You look over the pictures and decide. Remembering it is thirty years old. Fox body Mustangs, as they are now called, are great cars and going up in value. Thanks partly to Barrett-Jackson auctions on tv and them being nice cars. Look around and see what dealers are asking for nice GT's and convertibles.

I also will tell you the only things not perfect on the car.They are fine as they are, for me. Hopefully, you too. But I want you to know.

The passenger door windowworks fine for the passenger, but the driver's button, sometimes won't lower it, but will close it. I'll include a control button and a new window motor, incase they're ever needed.All other windows and buttons workfine.The top is original and in great shape.Operates and seals good. A small tear occurred at some time in its life and was professionally sewn. The factory AM/FMradio works, as does its cassette player and speakers.Yet the volume knob, makes a"scratchy" sound, now and then. Once the volume is set, it's all good.It may just need more use. No biggies, but I wanted you to know. Since I'd want to know. Other than that, I don't know of any other issues.The car has been fabulous. I just have too many cars, too little space and too little time.

Overall,it's agreat car and still looks very nice. Always attracts people wherever it goes. It is very trust worthy.It doesn't drive like an old car. It drives really nice in town and on the highway. I have recently taken it on a 600 mile trip. No problems and a nice drive. It gets over 20 mpg and its fuel injected 5.0L V8 performs well and sounds good. It just needs a new home and someone who will drive it and continue to care for it.
