1965 Ford Mustang GT350 Description:

1965 Mustang Fastback GT350 Replica
I have owned this 1965 GT350 Replica twice in my lifetime. The first time I purchased it was in 1996 after it was restored in 1989. I sold it a year later. I then bought it again in 2010. I then spent a lot of time and money doing a COMPLETE restoration on it. It spent almost 3 years just in the body shop. I was involved with a lot of the restoration process to make sure that everything was done right and up to my high standards. I have a ton of receipts but I know that I have well over 75,000.00 in this car not including my own time. The drive train has less than 7000 miles on it, the body was just recently finished. Here are some of the things that has been done to it....
New 347 stroker engine, custom built aluminum heads, Edelbrock intake, Quickfuel 650 carb, custom ground middle of the road camshaft, I do not remember the exact specs but I believe it is a Ford F cam duration with the lift of a Ford X cam (very streetable) Edelbrock fuel pump. All new hoses, new 4 core radiator, new MSD electronic ignition, new spark plug wires, coil, edelbrock water pump, alternator, new master cylinder and power brake booster, new front disc brakes. New rear drum brakes, new stainless steel gas tank and stainless steel gas line from tank to pump. New ford racing 5 speed transmission with hydraulic clutch, King Cobra Clutch, throw out bearing and clutch, new drive shaft, new 3:55 differential rear end. Pulls around 2100 rpm at 70mph in 5th gear. New U joints. New front and rear springs, new front and rear shocks, new front end suspension, new Borgeson gear box/power steering unit all in one. New carpet, seat covers, door panels, all new window regulators, scissors and door locks, new door rubber and felt, instrument panel gauges, speedometer and cable, glove box door, interior lighting and led instrument cluster lighting. New Shelby Cobra tac. New front and rear glass. New magnum 500 wheels and very good BF Goodrich tires. Mack long tube headers and H-Pipe with Mac flowpath mufflers. Never a header leak, this exhaust system fits like a glove with no headaches.New Shelby gas cap, new trunk mat and tire cover. I spent around 15,000.00 on the paint and body. There is absolutely NO rust and the paint is absolutely gorgeous, bright and deep. It was painted the correct Shelby colors, Wimbledon white with guardsman blue metallic stripes. New floor pans installed in 1989 during first restoration, car has been garaged since. This car is very dependable and has much more power than a factory 289. It is a great street driving car. I would not be afraid to drive it across the country and that says a lot for a 1965 Mustang!
Most of the chrome and stainless steel has been replaced. Most bolts and screws have been replaced. So many folks just throw these replicas together, many do not know what they are doing or are trying to slap some paint and stripes on a mustang for a quick sell. This is NOT one of those cars. This is not some pile of junk you see for sale by Classic Car dealers all over the web and Ebay who are trying to make an easy profit. This car is actually being sold at a loss which is your gain. I am not a dealer, just a perfectionist that loves classic cars.
Why am I selling? To raise cash for a new home.
If you are interested in this car then I urge you to come and see it in person and let it speak for itself. This car is not a waste of time or some kind of scam, it is an excellent restored GT350 replica. It was restored the RIGHT way. It is NOT 100% perfect in every way, if it was then it would be a 100,000.00 restoration. One thing that needs to be done once the weather gets hot is the hood should be repainted. It is fiberglass and low spots are showing. I am not sure what caused that. I never noticed any of this when the hood was painted sitting on the bench for over a month. It could be that the springs are too stiff that are on it and caused the hood to flex. I also have new softer springs designed for a Shelby fiberglass hood ready to go on. If you have been considering building a GT350 replica then here is a short cut that will save you a lot of trial and error and a lot of money. I also have a lot of new or slightly used parts that will go with the car.
At time of purchase I will accept a bank wire. A 500.00 non refundable paypal deposit is required within 24hrs of auction ending. This auction is not a game so please do not bid if you do not have the funds or intentions of buying the car. If you want a show winning GT350 replica then here is your chance! Thanks for viewing and good luck!
