1938 Ford Australian Utility (UTE)

1938 Ford UTE 81A Description:

1938 Ford Australian Utility (UTE). The UTE is unique to Australia.As far as I know there are only 3 of the ’38 Models in the US.I found this one in Canada.The chassis were built in Canada and exported to Australia where the bodies were built and the final assembly was done.

This is a restoration in progress and is a Right Hand Drive.

Included:

• A clear New Mexico title in my name with the original Canadian VIN
  
• A new 21 stud engine (From Dennis Carpenter reproductions) It is my understanding that this engine is new but due to long term storage issues they had to be reworked. The over/under sizes are listed on the tag shown in the photo
  
• The correct aluminum “Made in Canada” heads (2)
• US made iron heads for spares (2) and one (1) US made aluminum head
• Used intake manifolds (2) aluminum
  
• Re-manufactured distributor by Dennis Carpenter
  
• Carburetor re-manufactured Stromberg 97

• Correct shocks including the correct front Canadian links. I also have the rear links but thy are too long and will need to be shortened 1/4-3/8 inch on each end. Also, if you want, I have the tooling I used to reproduce these.

• Extra rear fenders (mostly US made). The rear UTE fenders are very similar to the US Ford '35 fenders. Two of the included fenders are '35 and are either NOS or very early take offs. One of the included fenders is a NOS or early take off sedan delivery. There is one '35 used sedan delivery while the rest are used mostly the ones that came with the UTE
• Original front fenders for parts if needed
