1970 Mustang Convertible

1970 Ford Mustang Description:

You are looking at a 1970 1/2 Ford Mustang convertible. This car has the original convertible top on it (showing signs of wear, but not ripe), the original interior, original numbers matching drive train, original spare tire (Bias ply), all original chrome and the original window sticker, along with the brochures from when it was purchased back in 1970. The only thing not original on the car is the paint. The car was originally Bright Gold Metallic, but was completely restored to the period correct red. You would never be able to tell the car was ever Bright Gold Metallic. The red paint on this car is flawless.

The title shows the mileage is in excess of mechanical limits, however, the car shows all the signs that the current mileage is correct. I know the previous owner of the car very well and he is the one that restored the car. The motor was rebuilt at the time of restoration, but not because it needed to be, just because it was out of the car at the time and he didn't want to take a chance. The car has always been in the area since 1970. It was originally purchased in Louisville, OH and remained in the Stark County area its entire life. The car was in a storage warehouse for approx. 20 years when owned by Canton Steel Company back in the day.

I just had the car serviced and it is in great shape. The only non-working item I know of is the heater core. I have a new in the box, but just haven't installed it. I see no need to go through it since it is only driven in the summer months and normally with the top down. This car is extremely fast. It currently has an Edelbrock Carburetor on it, but I have the original one. The original carburetor would not stay tuned, the Edelbrock was placed on it and runs much better. Car has front disc brakes and drums in the back.
