1966 Fiat 1500 Description:

Basically you are getting a whole car BUT, I am not advertising the car itself. This add is for the engine and transmission as a working unit.The car was parked in a back yard over 35 years ago. With only 37K miles on the car, the owner could not recall why he parked it but had said something went wrong. I bought the car for parts I needed for my restoration and figured why not see if it runs. Honestly, all it took was changing the oil, cleaning the points, putting a fresh coil and battery, hooking up a make shift gas tank and seriously, it started right up. We found out what the problem was, the engine blew out a freeze plug. We put a temp patch on the hole, filled the engine with water and it ran really well. In fact it ran so well we decided to go for a ride........... if it moves. Well, after putting together a wood floor and situating the car with good tires we went for a ride. As a novelty we considered making a movie prop out of the car because it is so appealing to admire but in the end we know someone out there needs these parts for their car so off she goes to a new home. What I can tell you is the motor once warmed up ran perfectly, no hick ups, plenty of power, no smoke, just good running machine. In my ride I did manage all 5 forward gears up and down and all worked perfectly. reverse too lol. Hopefully this car has what is needed to get your shell moving again. And yes we do have many other parts including sheet metal quarters and fenders from other cars for sale.
