1973 Citroen SM Description:

Citroen SM with 97,601 miles. Engine rebuild at 65,000 miles. At 97,100 miles major changes were made. New rear chain and tensioner, completely rebuilt automatic transmission, new stainless steel European style headers, new rear exhaust resonators, new front rotors, new inner and outer drive train rubber boots. Lumenition ignition system at 70,000 miles. Newer ignition switch at 97,200 miles. New battery.

Gas mileage at 70 (3500 rpm) miles an hour: 21 miles a gallon. Hydraulic cycle time of pump at idle: ~24 seconds (good). Dash has no cracks. Seats have no sun damage. Rip in rear seat on a seam. Have owned the car for 30 years. Garaged entire time with average mileage of 2000 miles a year. Parts and maintenance advice has been through Excelsior Motors located in Kentucky.

Needs a paint job, air conditioner and dryer, top windshield trim piece, rear license plate lights and minor electrical maintenance. Car is reliable for long drives.
