1962 Chrysler Newport Description:

For sale is this 4-door, push-button automatic 1962 Chrysler Newport in very good running order. I have a clear Missouri title in my name. I have owned the car for 3 years and want to sell it to make room for my other projects. I am, to my knowledge, the 3rd owner.
Mechanically:
It runs well, just passed inspection mid-November so still has current plates. It is driven a couple times per month to keep it active. Tuned up and maintained. No leaks or mechanical issues, starting, running and driving just fine. Recent work includes freshly rebuilt carburetor, a new master cylinder, all new rubber fittings on the brake lines, brake pads and drums turned, a new oil pan gasket, new distributor cap, rotor, plugs, and wires, transmission line filter, just to name a few.
Exterior:
Rust - This car was all cleaned inside and out and the bad metal was professionally replaced with proper metal. There is no external rust on the car.
Paint - She just got a new paint job last year (three layers: base coat; 50/50 base/clear coat mix; and clear coat final layer). It was not a frame-off job, but the doors were removed and all chrome was removed for it.
Exterior Trim - The chrome/metal trim all the way around on the outside is good to excellent. The front and rear bumpers have some scratches and fading.
Lights - All function as they should. I also have a spare set of new, reproduction rear tail lights, not installed.
Hub Caps - These are present, correct, and in good shape,
Glass - All glass is good, without any damage.
Electronics:
Lights - All lights, inside and out, work as they should.
Controls - All dash controls work as well, except for the antenna switch, and two switches which were for options that the car never had.
Gauges - All gauges work.
Radio - The radio does not work, but I have a spare radio (from same make/model/year of car) that was advertised as "working when removed from car," but I cannot confirm that as I never installed it.
Interior: The interior requires restoration, but I have done most of the prep work. I pulled the headliner (the ribs are still with the car), the carpet, and the seats to ensure we got all the rust and replaced what metal needed it (floor pans, trunk floor, primarily). Trunk and lower portions of door interiors had a tough coat applied professionally to prevent future rust. Front floor pans rust proofed. The rear floor pans have light surface rust, but NO holes.
Seats - The seats are present but will need to be redone. The front seat is worn through and losing padding. The rear seat is threadbare and has a few small splits, but is serviceable.
Door Panels - The old door panels are present but in fair condition at best. For full restoration will need to be replaced. All knobs / handles are present.
Interior Trim - Also, all of the interior metal trim is present and in good repair, but most of it will need to have surface rust removed and some of it will need to be repainted (the trim that needs paint was all flat black, originally).
Handles - All door/window handles work properly. Those not shown in the pictures (including the grips on the door panels) ARE present and will come with the car.
Dash/Pad - There is one split in the dash pad, but it can be repaired; the pad is in very good condition otherwise. The dash board it self is in good condition, with the "sputnik" dome being a good example of its kind.
Seat Belts - Front seat only, installed.
Weatherstripping - It requires new weatherstripping around the doors, but the trunk has new weatherstripping freshly installed.
A small amount of minor spare parts comes with the car, plus a good car cover. All parts listed above not attached to the car will be included. The rear seat has been put back into the car. The photos are from last year, but except for the rear seat being reinstalled and weatherstripping on the trunk, there are no changes to the pics. Current plates are maintained on it, passing inspection last in November.

Thank you.
