1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Coupe 2-Door Description:

This listing is for a 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS that I bought from a friend who owned the car for long time. The car runs very well and has been reliable, I drive it to work several times a week and has no issues at freeway speeds or in traffic.It has been left mainly stock and has a new paint job that is good quality.It is not a show car, there are a few imperfections in the paint but you have to get very close to see them.The paint was done by a local painter with new decals that are flat black and is very similar to the original silver color.The wheels were also sand blasted and painted in a dark gray with new SS center caps. There is a new steel 2 inch cowl induction hood installed. The engine is a stock 305 with all of the original emissions equipment and engine accessories.It has the factory A/C system which needs to be charged, but this will be completed by the time of purchase.It has a new alternator, front brake calipers, pads, rotors and wheel bearings, new fuel pump, new tires, alignment, new spark plugs, new rubber fuel lines, new optima red top battery and a fresh coolant change (all new items since April).It has an aftermarket radio with SIRIUS XM antenna and subscription.It has a Virginia State inspection from April of 2017.The exhaust is not stock but is of similar quality with a catalytic converter and O2 sensors with a mild exhaust sound.All of the lights, power windows, and other accessories are in working condition.

Issues:There are a few spots in the paint that are not perfect (on the hood there is a scratch, a brown spot and the driver side rear quarter has a small scuff the size of a dime).The dash panel has two cracks but is in otherwise good condition, there are some faded interior components (rear seat, passenger seat and passenger door panel).The speedometer makes a noise at certain speeds, I have tried to figure out what is going on but have been unable to fix the issue.The lower panel around the front drivers side turn signal also has a bulge above the turn signal lens.
