1948 (first production year) Willys 2WD Jeepster Convertible! It was launched in the spring of 1948, and with its Willys drop rag top, too much fun! This restoration features a Buick GM Oddfire V-6 with overdrive! That means it can keep up with today's traffic or meander the backroads, mountain highways, or ramble to the beach. The GM Oddfire V-6 is significantly superior to the original Willy's V-4 and unlike the Willys V-4, GM parts readily available. That's why it's so important to have a nicely restored example like this, rather than the stock V-4. The rich Green paint with Beige trim has the kind of deep luster and elegance represents the optimistic post-war American perfectly. Because a Jeepster is a collectable antique vehicle, it's key that all the details are there. So take note of the correct grille, hubcaps, taillights, and trim line that encircles everything from the windshield to the rear panel. Even the bumpers are correct with Willys Overland etched into the rear one. One piece that can never last 70 years is the original folding roof. That's why this one wears a brand fresh tan top with clear side curtains. It has dual factory upgraded spotlights on both driver & passenger sides (rare option).
