1973 Volvo 1800ES Wagon
1973 Volvo 1800ES Wagon Description:
Partially restored project car I have owned since 2016. Currently registered and driven on weekends. Arrived in pretty good condition all round but had some aesthetic issues. Replaced the hood because the hinges had rusted and ruined the portion of the hood where they attached. The two dash pads had characteristic cracking so I replaced those with OEM quality dashpads from Sweden. Same for visors that had disintegrated. The rest of the interior is quite good, the headliner is primo. All the glass is good. Blower motor and wipers work well. Door seals and hood seals purchased but not installed (go with car). AM/FM radio works but the clock is frozen in time.Tires and wheels are first rate. Foot pans appear totally solid. A little bit of surface rust on quarter panels. The hoses on the fuel injection manifold have been replaced. I purchased but have not installed a new battery tray (goes with car) and washer unit (new). The battery is new. New noise insulation pads for under the hood (not installed on repainted hood) and will accompany the car. Runs strong. Low end torque is impressive and it revs willingly. Shifts well and the overdrive works without issues.
