1987 Volvo 240 Description:

1987 Volvo 240. Vehicle was a daily driver for majority of the last 25 years until it started having electrical issues. Now it starts, idles briefly and dies.
Have replaced the following in the last 4 years: new engine wiring harness, new ignition harness, refurbished ignition control unit, however it still has some sort of short causing it to die after startup. For most of its life it was serviced at Swedish Automotive in Seattle.
No known mechanical issues except otherwise noted. No known transmission issues. May need a tune up.
Clear title.
Little rust for its age as it has stayed in Washington for nearly it's entire life, so no salt/major rust concerns.
Interior is worn but as expected for a 31 year old car. Passenger side floor board trim piece is removed for access to electrical components.Purchase includes the following:Two winter tires on steel wheels.A trunk full of misc parts, including a new grill, new headlights.Original owners manual.Yakima roof rack (no keys).Hood hinges wore out so hood is not attached (that is why it looks like it is out of square) but have good condition replacement hinges, just aren't installed. Will secure hood before transport.
Has some cosmetic issues as seen in pictures: drivers side dent by headlight, hood has variety of dents and is miscolored, dent on passenger side rear door, other misc dents, missing trim pieces, paint is weathered and worn.
Odometer is broken at 250,776, but estimated miles of ~280,000.
Vehicle is sold as is- where is. Local pre-inspection can be coordinated before auction ends. If you do not pre-inspect, you accept the condition as is, where is. All sales are final. The above description may not be an exhaustive list of defects however I have tried my best to accurately describe known issues. It is a 31 year old car, so its condition can best be described as fair. It's not a junker but not pristine.
Deposit of $250 due within 24 hours of auction closing. Full payment due within 7 days or prior to pickup, whichever comes first. Must pickup within 7 days of auction closing. A storage fee of $20 a day will be added for every day after the first 7 days until pickup is made. If vehicle is not picked up within 14 days, you will forfeit your deposit and the purchase will be cancelled.
Local pickup. If you would like the vehicle shipped, you would need to contact and pay for an auto transport however I can be available to assist an auto transporter when they arrive to pickup. Vehicle does not drive and will need to be towed. You are responsible for all taxes, licenses and fees associated with purchase.
Vehicle is for sale locally so the auction may be cancelled early if sold locally.
