1967 Volvo 122s Amazon Estate Wagon Description:

1967 Volvo 122-S Amazon Station Wagon. Has air conditioning (134A) & overdrive transmission. (5- speed) B-18 motor with under 50,000 original miles. 2 electric cooling fans for hot summer days when using air conditioning. Stock AM radio with optional FM adapter from 1967 when fm first came out. Original jack, spare tire and owners manuals. I have enjoyed years of driving this to summer car shows and cruises where it always gets compliments and good conversation. It is a basic very simple car, easy to work on and maintain with basic mechanical skills. Over the years I have installed new brakes, timing gear, complete clutch, water pump, u-joints & carrier bearing, motor mounts, windshield, etc. most of the common wear items so it has become very reliable. It has a Petronix electronic pointless ignition for dependability. It also comes with the original stock points distributor for a purist. It comes with the rare 14 book Volvo green factory service manuals in original Volvo binder in excellent condition. Detailed factory information / pictures on how to do anything on a 122, body, engine, electrical,brakes, windows, interior, instruments,etc. Comes with a couple boxes extra parts, Carbs, water pump, distributo, coil, brakes, new poly suspension bushings, etc. Sharp Original 122s estate wagons are very hard to find. This is a 50 year old original cosmetically unrestored car in remarkable condition for its age and it runs very well.The bucket seats need restitching and the back seat needs a cap on the top. The cross brace between gas tank & rear bumper braces has rust. The floors are good. There was a small amount of rust around passengers rear fender arch. I had it cut out and the new Swedish steel replacement professionally welded in. Look carefully at pictures, it has very little of the normal 122 rust thru issues. Would be a excellent 122 for a full cosmetic restoration as mechanicals are very good. Faded old patina repaint. I can find no evidence of prior bodywork. Very straight body. I have tried to describe the Amazon as accurately as possible. It has been a very dependable car for me with the small hiccups you get with all old cars. Surfboard not included.
