77 Volkswagon Bus Transporter with RARE automatic transmission

1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon camper van Description:

The engine starts and runs at idle just fine. It needs carb rebuilt to run well. I've driven it around several times but wouldn't take on the highway yet. Brakes are soft and tires are old. With brakes, tires, seat covers, rebuilt carburetor and axles, could be daily driver while restoring. The automatic transmission shifts normal, but rear axles needs replacing. The body has rust in several places, but all the panels are straight. Main floor in passenger area could be repaired with sand blasting and rust converter, fiberglass and epoxy. No Accident damage. Needs all rubber trim, but all glass is there. There is no interior to speak of except front seats and dash.
I started buying parts for it, mostly dash and window stuff, they come with it. The oil and battery were changed immediately. It comes with a full water resistant cover as seen in the picture.
I bought it 9 months ago to restore it. It has been covered in my driveway ever since. I have too many projects going right now to give it the attention it needs. The frame is solid and the bus is very doable when compared to many of the others I have seen on Ebay. If you like it and are willing to give it the attention it needs, bid now and good luck.
