1963 Volkswagen Microbus Description:

Nice running split window Bus. Bus has VIN plate and is titled in my name but has no M plate. Has a nice 1776 engine that was professionally rebuilt a few years back. Stainless steel muffler. Rear has an early Bay transaxle, and it shifts smoothly. Body is not perfect but overall it’s pretty straight and looks good, some body filler here and there. There is a dent near the right rear wheel well. Floor and frame is solid underneath, not perfect and has rust in spots but is very safe and solid. All electrical has been redone, all brakes have been redone including the lines and master cylinder. New tires, new powder coated hubcaps, nice full length roof rack and surf board are included in sale. Glass is good but there are no pop out windows. There are some dents in roof that aren’t too noticeable but the drip rails are solid. Very nice walnut steering wheel installed recently.

Needs a few things addressed to finish it off. 1. Rear wheel cylinder blew out so there is no pressure in line, so currently needs fixed before driving again. 2. Lower door hinge on passenger side is broken so will need welded back on (door opens just fine but has some sag). 3. Seats need reupholstered and they are bay window seats. No seat belts. 4. Bulk head behind front seat is dented. 5. Incorrect deck lid. 6. Speedo and fuel sending unit need hooked up.

Bottom line in the short term, just fix the leaking brake issue and this Bus is ready to cruise to your local car show. It is a head turner and definitely gets compliments whenever I take it out on a cruise.
