1969 Volkswagen Beetle Description:

After work from 2020 to 2022, the transformation was complete from regular Volkswagen Beetle to Beetle. This example was made during August 1968 in West Germany. Comes with an extra set of fenders.

With its Cement Gray exterior, the paint and trim are in overall excellent condition. The bodywork is straight and solid, there are no bumpers. Up front are new headlights with custom brake lights and smoked turn signal lenses in the rear.

This Beetle rolls on new Nexen SB-8 radials, size 165/80R15 in front and new Mastercraft Avenger G/T radials, size 275/60R15 in back. Each tire is mounted to a black, power-coated alloy wheel. The wheels are in excellent order while the tires are in very good condition. The car has a new front beam axle, tie rods and shock absorbers. Further, there is a 10-inch Fabshop 104 beam extender and 2.5-inch drop spindles.

In back, there is an air-cooled 1.5L flat four-cylinder engine with 1776 dual carburetors and dual exhausts. The car has four-wheel disc brakes, a new master cylinder, brake lines and hoses. The fuel tank has been flushed and it has new lines along with a new fuel filter. There is a four-speed manual transmission with a new clutch cable and tube along with a new pedal assembly.

Other new parts include a windshield wiper motor, ignition, keys, battery and starter. There is a new distributor and coil, a new wiring harness and master fuse panel behind the rear seat. There are new window regulators, too. The keys fit but dont lock doors, high beams inop.

Inside, the car's black-and-gray cloth seats are in great shape. The seat rails were moved back four inches for more leg room. An array of 50mm Kilmat has been applied to the entire car interior, including the headliner and insulation. A gray headliner offers good contrast to the rest of the interior. A new, three-spoke steering wheel and a new Black Mamba shifter are ready for new adventures. There is a Bluetooth radio and DVD player with a pop-up screen; two, six-inch speakers; two six by nine speakers and a subwoofer. The rear seat has been replaced with a speaker box and removable, lockable storage. There are custom toggle switches for the parking lights, headlights and wipers. An AM/FM stereo with CD player and a custom luggage tray is under the dash with a light, mobile phone charger and voltage gauge.

For 1969, the only exterior change was the fuel filler flap no longer had a finger indentation due to a new interior-mounted fuel door release. For North America, the Beetle received a heated rear window, day/night mirror and the semi-trailing, independent suspension with double jointed swing axles as standard equipment.

If you're looking for a fun VW Beetle, this example more than does justice to the concept of 'fun.' Stop by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to examine it closer for yourself.
