1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Description:

You are bidding on a 1971 Westfalia camper, some would argue this might be the best year VW bus. With its unique tail lights, first year for disc brakes, and reliable type 1 engine with plenty of aftermarket support for parts and repairs. Up until a few years ago this has been a California van, extremely dry and rust free example. Perfect floors and frame. Much work has been done to ensure its reliability and performance, truly a turn-key classic. Description as follows:

Mechanical:
• 1600 cc dual port engine, runs well and regularly serviced
• New Petronix distributor
• New carb
• new alternator and battery approx.. 2 yrs ago
• Does not burn oil
• Recently serviced trans axle with fresh lube
• New clutch approx.. 2 yrs ago
• All heater boxes connected. Heater works properly
• New ball joints, center pin, steering damper, drag link and Wolfgang steering box, handles like new
• Recently redone rear brakes, wheel cylinders and flex lines
• Recently installed correctly rated Hankook RA18 tires
• Bus has only had Amsoil 2050 synthetic oil, no oil usage between changes.

Exterior:
• As mentioned this is a CA bus, solid throughout
• Very nicely done orange and white paint scheme
• Vintage roof rack
• New weather strip and window gaskets throughout

• Also has aluminum step board at passenger sliding door

Interior:
• Complete Westfalia interior, sink, cooler, fold out bed, fold up table, jump seat and rare camper stool. All cabinets in very good condition.

• Parquet style wood floor
• Matching spare tire with complete jack assembly
• All upholstery and curtains redone professionally
• Nicely installed Kenwood blue tooth stereo with speakers front and rear
