------------No reserve -- No reserve -- No reserve --
You are bidding to win this car!!!!
There is no "buy it now" pric, please don't ask! You are bidding to own it!
ALL other VW Things on Ebay right now have a reserve price or a ridiculously high "buy it now" price. Not this one. If you are the highest bidder you own the car.
1973 VW Thing!!!!!!!!!!
Be the only one in your city to own a rare classic like this. Everyone looks at this car everywhere I take it. hardly anyone even knows what it is. The VW THING was only imported to the United States for 2 years …1973 and 1974 and that's it! There were only 8000 things made in 1973 and that was 46 years ago. Imagine how few of these are still around and still driving on the road.
I have had this car for a little over a year and the clear Texas Title is in my name. All the gears work on the transmission and the Odometer is showing 85K miles. The car rides smoothly on 4 new tires, starts and stops easily. The engine is a 1600 single port that has had new parts installed.
This car starts very easily. runs. drives and stops with great response and pep for a VW. I have owned many vws and this one has excellent brakes because almost the entire Brake system was replaced. The Interior has entirely brand new seats in front and new covers on the rear seats. The
wheels have been sanded and painted factory silver and have brand new tires on them and brand new hubcaps. The typical floor rust was in two spots in the battery tray and under driver’s seat. Both have been have been cut out and been replaced with metal welded in.
This car will be a great daily driver. The horn, wipers. turn signals marker lights, license plate lights, hazards, brake lights, bright and dim headlights lights all work along with the original cigar lighter for cell phone changing. Oil pressure light and alternator light all work and shut off when the car is started indicating both are working properly.

This is not a show car, it has some imperfections in the paint, possible blemishes, dings and may need final tuning to get it to the way you like it. The car is almost 50 years old it will not ride, drive, or look like a new Honda. I have driven it about 10 miles down the street and to the gas station several times to test things out. People are always asking me about it and it is super fun to be in the driver’s seat with the wind in your hair. The $500 non-refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction and full payment is due within one week. I accept Paypal for the deposit. Please do not ask questions that are answered in the ad.
