RARE 1982 VW Vanagon Westfalia diesel
1982 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Description:
We reluctantly are parting with our beloved VW. This 1982 Westy has the 1.6L Diesel engine with the manual transmission and is in excellent condition for its age. The 1.6L was only put in the Vanagon in 1982. Although a bit slow, the diesel is a blast to drive. Starts up with ease and runs extremely smooth with an average mpg in the high 20s to 30s. I put new tires on it last year, including the spare. Less than 2,000 miles on them. Just replaced the injection pump and all new belts. Fixed an exhaust leak. New water tank and lines, full propane tank. Canvas is original but in really good shape. It has a couple of patches but no holes. Fridge is a little slow cooling down, but works great. Electric heater added and ac/dc power converter built in. The sad part is that we just don't have the time to use it like we want. Everything works great. Come take it for a drive. We could also arrange delivery if interested. We are only interested in selling this to serious buyers.
