EXCELLENT 1989 VOLKSWAGEN CABRIOLET WOLFSBURG EDITION - LOW MILES

1989 Volkswagen Cabrio Wolfsburg Edition - Blue Star Description:

I'm selling this excellent low miles Volkswagen Cabriolet Wolfsburg Edition for one of my customers. This car was part of the Blue Star Edition offered by Volkswagen and was the only color offered in the Wolfsburg Edition in 1989. The car was originally owned by a Volkswagen enthusiast in Nebraska. The paint was wrapped in vinyl to promote his business and used in parades. It was then sold to his neighbor who had the wrap removed and was driven by his wife. It was then put in storage and was purchased by my customer. He's a VW fanatic and as a result I went completely through this car to refurbish it to like new condition. As a result of the wrap, the paint is in excellent original condition with the exception of the plastic bumper covers, fender flares, rocker panels, and one upper quarter panel which were repainted due to clear coat damage when the wrap was removed. A few small dings were taken out by paintless dent. The vinyl top is original and in great condition as is the headliner and original blue boot cover. The original "teardrop" wheels are in excellent condition and were fitted with new tires. The cloth interior is in mint condition with no tears as you can see in the photos, and the car still has the original factory floor mats. A new stereo was installed. Mechanically the car runs, drives and shifts excellent. I installed new plugs, and set the timing. The timing belt and waterpump were replaced, and the cooling system was flushed. Almost the entire fuel system was replaced with new internal and external fuel pumps, new fuel filter, new injectors, all new vacuum hoses and the CIS system was tuned. All the shift levers and bushings were replaced, and a new axle was installed. The a/c was converted to 134 and blows cold. The complete list of what was done to this car is available upon request.
