1961 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Description:

In storage for 3 1/2 years, I bought this 1961 VW Beetle from an estate sale. No one knew anything about the history of the vehicle except it had been given a beautiful paint job. A thorough mechanical inspection revealed that much work had to be done which was invisible to the eye. Improvements to my own specifications (this is my 6th VW Beetle) brought the car into the custom condition it is today. The work includes: New engine with dual port heads, duel Weber carbs, Airmass extreme exhaust system, high speed transmission, custom paint, trim, wheel. The interior is also custom and includes new steering wheel and Bambus under dash storage rack.Other updates include new alternator and 12 volt electrical system. new clutch, brakes and drums new tires, ignition by Holly, and all new body rubber and window seals.With twice (or more) horse power of the original, this daily driver (and show car) purrs at 75 mph on the highway.
