This is an extremely rare, unmolested and immaculately maintained example - I have to let it go for financial reasons but really would like this car to go to someone that knows what it represents - in particular the unmolested drive train and legendary 2.0L 16V motor are virtually impossible to find in this condition. It accelerates, brakes and drives without flaw, and I doubt that more than a handful exist in this pristine mechanical condition.Ranking as VW’s biggest car at the time of sale, the Passat was available as either a 4-door sedan or 4-door station wagon, in a single GL trim level. Power comes from an unaltered, pristine twin-cam, 2.0-liter 16 valve 4-cylinder engine. Wagons had the automatic as standard. Four-wheel disc brakes and alloy wheels were standard, while anti-lockbraking was among the few options, which this one has.
