1966 VOLKSWAGEN CONVERTIBLE
Most VW people say this is one of the very best year BUGS ever built!!! Well this little VW BUG has a lot going for it. She did have a few pin holes in the front floor pans, however she now has new pans, and done the right way, butt welded in place. She has also been switched over to a all new 12 VOLT SYSTEM.This great little bug has been setting in my back garage for almost 2 years so I spent some bucks on her!! I paid to have a complete new brake system all the way around to include new fluid lines etc. At that time I also put a matched set of new radial tires on her. In just the last few weeks I have put a new carburetor, new coil, new plugs and wires, new fuel pump, new generator and regulator, and finallya new distributor with cap and rotor (THE END). She now seems to be a great little driver. When parked in my back garage she ran GREAT but when she appeared out in her first sunny day in almost 2 years she had a hick-up, hence all the new items!!!I am not a VW expert by any means!!! What ended up being the entire problem was the coil was not putting out the correct power!!I have not even wiped her off hence some dust. She is very usable in her present state or take her to the next level and have a $25,000 bug on your list of assets.
