This is a late 62' car built the month before they changed over to 63'. It is finished in it's original color of Pacific Blue (best color, IMHO) I recently acquired this car and only selling it to fund another project. This is a very solid Type34 with original numbers matching pan. The motor is a later Type 3 1600 engine with dual Webber 34's, alternator, CB deep sump, etc. The car currently has a 4" narrowed Type 1 link pin beam. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes and a dual circuit master setup. This is the best stopping VW I've ever owned! The transmission is a 3.88 built by Rancho and has very few miles on it. I just installed a Vintage Speed short shifter which feels excellent. In the last month I have installed brand new rear BFG radial tires, had the carbs tuned up and synced, spark plugs, fuel filter, etc. The car fires up first time every time. It's a bit cold natured as the carbs don't have any chokes, but it warms up quickly and runs nice and cool. Although the car sits very low, it will RARELY rub anywhere. The interior has had some work done including a sew fine carpet kit and floor mats as well as custom door panels. The seat covers are tired and could use replacing. The dash pads show signs of age, but still look good. The car does have some rust, but is extremely solid and very treatable. The worst rust areas are the rear fender arches, and the battery tray area oil the passenger rear floor pan. The nose is ACCIDENT free which is very hard to come by these days. The paint is far from perfect, but has a great patina look to it. There are plenty of chips, dents, and blemishes but that doesn't mean the car gets any less looks! The roof rack is a Pedro rack, and the rear parcel rack is from ISP west. Clock was removed and the car has a working non-vw tach. All exterior lights work. Interior lights work accept for the dome light. Gas gauge and horn do not work, otherwise everything else does. Excellent running car, strong motor that I've been told had the top end gone through not that many miles ago. This is a fantastic car to restore (if thats what you are in to) or, drive it like it is and watch the values go up. Car comes with the cars original beam from drum to drum, all window rubber moldings, extra rear pop-outs, and a few other items. Clean title. Can help with shipping.
