vw rabbit pickup TD turbo diesel

1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Description:

Bought in 06 and transplanted an 85 Jetta turbo diesel. Had suspension (except rear left springs), brakes, diesel pump (expensive) and KKK turbo (expensive) rebuilt. Mileage is what I think I have put on it in the last 12 years. Engine was not rebuilt. Estimating 1000 miles/quart of oil due to leakage and burn. Gets from 45 to 40 miles/gal. Put 14 inch snowflake rims and have jetta plastic fender trim (not installed). Body is original other than a small patch of mud on left door to stop rust. Frame solid. Floor pans have rust holes. Last year replaced timing belt and battery. Tires are good. Has AC but leaks. Runs good, but will pop out of reverse if you don't shift just right. Drove it from STL to LA a few years ago on three tanks (15 gal tank) of fuel. Able to stop traffic on the interstate when I load the turbo up. Lots of fun. Able to send video or video chat if you want to hear her run. Getting to old to get in and out of this low rider.She is setting and waiting for a new owner. Vin # is x6263780014.
