'84 VW Vanagon Westfalia
1984 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia Description:
This is a great starter van! The essentials are taken care of and ready for you to make it your own. Van runs great and can make it over the pass in 4th gear with no problem. We took a week long road trip to Utah in it this summer and it ran great even in 100+ degree temps.The details:
- '92 2.2L Subaru Impreza 4cyl engine - engine was rebuilt / re-machined prior to installation (less than 20k miles on the rebuilt engine, installed January 2010, less than 10k miles put on it since then)
- Water cooled - coolant system re-plumbed when engine was replaced
- 4 Speed manual transmission - rebuilt with new clutch in January 2008, less than 20k miles since then
- Deep cell "leisure" battery (runs interior lights, stereo, cigarette lighter when the car is not running so you don't have to worry about draining your starter battery. Charges off the alternator when car is running)
- Shady Boy awning (installed Summer 2016: http://www.shadyboy.com/)
- New Go Westy hemp canopy - naturally water and mold resistant, perfect for the PNW (installed August 2016)
