1973 Volkswagen Thing Description:

1973 vw thing. powerful engine completely gone over in May of 201, I have documentation of what was done by J.B. Bugs in Jensen Beach FL. ODO reading on receipt is 95315 so about 1k miles since that complete overhaul. i did not like stock exhaus, felt I was getting too much fumes back in car so took it to top air-cooled vw guy in Pompano (McNab) and had new exhaust installed ( so much better) also needed a new ignition coil at that tim, oil change, adjust brakes, wired fog lights and tuned up engine. that was in January of this year. Car is running and driving great. Looking to sell because it is family fun car and nobody want to drive manual tranny any more...Sad
Gets so much love out on the road, more than any car I have ever owned, best conversation starter I ever had besides a nice puppy. Parts of paint job are perfect some nicks and cracks in spots one patch looks like it was sanded and repainted in not exactly matching color. Botton line is great working Thing i drove it on I95 from Ft Pierce to Delray and it bombed down the highway at 65 -70 with no problem. Not something I would recommend but nice to know that it could if you needed it to. basically have been taking it to the beach and around town, So much better than these golf cart losers.On May-17-17 at 09:26:10 PDT, seller added the following information:
