1971 VW Bus Riviera Camper

1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description:

This is my 1971 VW Bus/ Riviera Camper. I bought this vehicle in 2014 as a project but I am moving and will need to sell it. This bus runs, drives, and shifts through all gears smoothly. It has a 1600 dual port engine and 4 speed manual transmission. The only thing it needs to be complete is the interior, which I had started collecting over the years of my ownership.I did install a new pop top canvas that was purchased through GoWesty, along with new window seals in the front roll down windows. The other window seals were replaced when the bus was repainted.The body is in good condition. It was repainted in 2010, but has some small paint chips from use. One is on the front of the bus next to the VW logo and there is another under the rear most drivers side window. There are only a few minor areas of corrosion. The passenger side rear wheel arch has some bubbling, the battery tray has rust and there are two spots on the drivers side where there is rust coming through on the floor. The rest of the body is very clean with no rust in the front wheel arches, or front floor.The odometer reads 5,583 but it has rolled once. The engine starts and runs smooth. I did a compression test on the bus and all cylinders where between 120-125. New rubber fuel lines were installed along with a filter.Feel free to ask any questions.This is a great bus that needs a new home.Shipping is up to the buyer.
