1992 Volkswagen Cabrio Best Seller Edition Description:

This 1992 Volkswagen Cabriolet Best Seller Edition is one of the most well kept cars I’ve come across. The car has just over 110,000 miles but looks and drives like it did when new. The paint is original with no dents or dings, but does have a few tiny stone chips and a couple small scratches - not even worth touching up. The original top is in excellent condition as is the interior headliner. The convertible boot looks like new with no missing straps, end pieces or snaps. The interior is one of my favorites and it’s hard to believe it’s 27 years old! It obviously spent much of it’s life with seat covers. The car still has it’s original Premium stereo, but the factory speakers were replaced at some point. All gauges, the clock and the original cruise control work perfectly. Mechanically, the timing belt was changed. New plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor were installed. A new Idle valve was also installed. Both in tank and external fuel pumps were replaced as was the fuel filter. The a/c blows cold thanks to an R134 conversion, a new a/c compressor and drier. The transmission was also replaced due to 3rd gear syncro issues. The replacement shifts accurately and smooth. The battery was replaced and the tires are brand new as are the reconditioned factory “snowflake” wheels. All belts and the throttle cable were replaced. The floor mats are custom made black with red edging.The brakes and rotors were very recently done. The car comes with the original window sticker, all factory manuals and many receipts. This car sold for $17,320 in 1992. Like all of the Cabriolets I sell - this is not a PROJECT. I try to go through each car and fix or replace what is needed so that the new owner will be able to enjoy the car without worrying about repair bills.
