Here is my 1988 Jetta Coupe 1.8l Wolfsburg Edition. PLEASE SAVE THIS Pristine example of a potential PROJECT CAR. Ultra rare 2 door Jetta. Someone trying to build a show car would love this as a starting point AGAIN its a unique car if some wanted to restore it it would make for a great project. Great for someones first car, Great if you want to cruise VW clubs and shows you always get attention OR.......
AS A DAILY DRIVER: It runs good, idles a little high, everything works I bet if you recharged the AC system, it'd blow cold no problem. I get about 35 40 MPG putzing around on the highways. Tires are new KUMHOS, Enkie RIMS look good, yes real enkie's-not some cheapo rim. SOLID performance struts I bought from a company in Belgium, forgot the make it was years ago, NOT CHEAPO COIL-overs.... it rides nice. Chrome MAGNAFLOW suitcase exhaust and tips makes it sound good not too loud and annoying RICER crap. THE PAINT is flat black nothing fancy, UNDER THAT it is Wolfsburg Dark Blue
Premium suspension and STICKY Khumo tires...... IT HANDLES LIKE ITS ON RAILS!!!!! but it is still comfortable, not too rigid. ZERO BOUNCE - Cruises GOOD
Kenwood Receiver hooked up to a 1400 Watt Sony Xplode AMP, 12 inch Sony Xplode Subwoofer, new int speakers and digital antenna. THE TRUNK BOOOMS pretty good wake up and annoy the neighbors!!!!
Its a solid car with very low mileage that was owned by an old lady for YEARS before I bought it.
-Will eventually need a better drivers seat, mines a little loose, small exhaust manifold leak on the 30 year old header..... has a little rust here and there like in the drivers door jamb. The drivers side has rust under the door and floor. BUT REALLY the car has little rust, which can be expected... but its remarkably clean being its been a Chicago car most its life..... SALT SUCKS.....

UPDATE: It can be a daily for anyone, but if you want a car to customize and break onto the VW car showscene THIS IS THE CAR FOR YOU. Wolfsburg Coupe instant head turner.UPDATE2: Have you seen the prices on minty old vw's lately? they are sky rocketing. The MECUM auctions had some crazy vw's going for wild prices.....
You will NEVER see another coupe with this mileageout there.
