VW Bus/ Van "One Of A Kind"

1973 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Description:

The bus has the original "Sportsmobile" Camper Top that .needs rescreened goes up and down easily and has its two upper bed cushions in great shape.It needs a interior kit. rear floor behind front seats has a rust hole behind drivers seat 2-3 inches x I inch.drivers front floor in need of replacement and passengers not as bad seen in pics.It does have a nice frame.The fellow I bought it from had the transmission re-built,New clutch,pressure plate,throwing out bearing.New c.v. joints and boots,New front rotors,calibers and lines.New rings,pistons and reman heads.New distributor,coil and New dual Solex carbs and intakes from JBugs.It ran ok when I bought it but not much power he told me he was running it off a separate gas can to finish it on the rebuild and it ran great and then put gas in the original tank and it started to run like it was on one carb not two.When I got it home I pulled the gas filter finding rust in it in it that had gotten to the new carbs.I have pulled the tank and found the rust in the bottom of the tank and have ordered a New one with a New sending unit and filter from J Bugs for $330.00 should be here tuesday.We Have already cleaned the New carbs they were plugged up with rust.Looking forward to driving it this week.I live close to Asheville N.C.it should fit in there like a glove. There also was a New set of tires on it still with the rubber tits on the tread.He did all this work and his kids wouldn't ride in it .It was cool at first for them and you know kids.He was done with it and now was going to finish up his 57 vw that was pretty cool and the kids liked much better.On Jul-31-17 at 06:27:44 PDT, seller added the following information:
