Bought the car from a guy who lost his license. Car was sitting for 6 months before I picked it up. Got it running and driving and been using it around town. I have 4 other Volkswagens, a Subaru and a Nissan pickup truck. Something needs to go and this is it.
Runs good. Fun to drive.
Car is sitting on newer Raceland coilovers. 13 inch BBS wheels.Tires have decent tread but are older and lose air over week or so. Need to be replaced.
There are a few spots of rust see pics. No headliner. Missing the shifter boot. Car has a push button to start but turns off with key, believe it is a faulty ignition switch. Hazards work but not turn signals so thinking it is bad flasher. Car sits low and muffler was low so did a straight pipe in rear. Little loud but not too bad. Figured would put smaller muffler on later. Seals are dried and shrunk on doors and hatch. Would replace. Drips in hard rain. I buffed the paint on the corner of the hood and it came out pretty good I just haven't done the whole car, again see pics. I know where you can buy a rear hatch with no rust that looks like it's the same color (only seen it in emailed pics but looks the same)for $50 in Delaware. Also know of a good set of rear tail lights for $150. The undercarriage has rust is on the pinch weld from someone jacking it up at the wrong spot. The floors feel solid.
Good runner that could use a little elbow grease.
