-Superbly presented and well preserved TR4A Convertible in arguably the most desirable colors. Recently acquired from only it's second California owner.This car is wearing 100% of it's first factory paintwork (paint metered) and is in excellent condition throughout considering the car's age.-Purchased new from Peninsula Triumph Inc. in late 1965 by it's first owner, a Mr. Robert Duke Williams of San Mateo, California. Mr. Williams took wonderful care of the car using it as his everyday means of transport for years. Lots of the accompanying receipts show good maintenance history and repairs going back to the mid 1980's. Mr. Williams accrued over 140,000 miles in his beloved TR4A during his ownership...-Around 2003, the Triumph was acquired by it's second owner in Cambria, CA. The car was still in excellent cosmetic condition overall still retaining it's original paintwork and chrome, and the interior had been improved by Williams with reupholstered vinyl seats, quality cut pile carpet set, a new vinyl soft top, and solid teak dash to replace the aging original veneered item. The rest of the car's interior appears 100% original.-After driving the car around a bit, the second owner noticed the engine was tired and embarked on some mechanical disassembly. Life got in the way and the carsat well protected and covered for the next 20 years.-Today, this Triumph TR4A is one of the nicest and well-preserved examples we've had on offer. It's exquisite wearing 100% of it's original excellent lacquer paintwork and brightwork, showing only a few dings from normal light use over the past 57 years. Panel gapping is excellent with no body panels ever being removed from the car ! It retains it's original Triplex windshield glass. WALK AROUND VIDEO COMING SOON.-Interior trim is overall excellent showing a mint original panel kit, dashboard crash and top pads, original two-piece door seals, Triumph logo'd seat belts, sun visors, period alloy/wood steering wheel, mint original top boot, tonneau, factory storage bag.-Mechanically, the car has just received an engine rebuild with a new Mahle 87mm piston and liner set, new sports camshaft and lifters, timing chain and tensioner, front seal, rod bearings, rebuilt cylinder head, new oil pump, hoses, general tune up. A new set of Michelin 165R15 ZX Radials wrap the beautiful set of upgraded 72-spoke chrome wire wheels. DRIVING VIDEO COMING SOON.-The car includes it's maintenance file back to the mid-1980's, original small CA pink slip dated 11-24-1965, extra key sets, mint condition owner's handbook and service booklet, BMIHT certificate, jack and handle, knock-off hammer.-Overall, a truly irreplaceable Triumph TR4A in the best colors, this original paint gem has enjoyed it's life in California from new with only two caring owners.
