Description:

1971 Triumph TR-6

I am reluctantly selling my 1971 Triumph TR6. We had a baby last year, and changing priorities have left this car pretty much stationary in the garage, so it's time to move on to something more practical.
**Note - I left the radio console out after I did the interior becauseI like the look of it better without it, but all of the original parts including the working radio and speakers are included an can be re-installed prior to sale if requested
The basics:
- 56,500 miles
- Delft blue paint in generally quite good condition. Up close, there are some swirls visible, but from 5+ feet away, it looks excellent
- Honey tan interior with black carpets (brand new, more below)
- 2.5l inline 6 with 4-speed manual transmission
I've owned this car for two years, and the list of work that has been done to it in that time is extensive. I'll share the highlights here, but happy to share the full list with any serious inquiries:
Engine and Drivetrain
- New rocker arm shaft with upgraded bushed / honed rockers
- Completely overhauled ignition system - rotor, points, condenser, cap, wires, and plugs
- New aluminum valve cover
- New cooling fan
- Flushed radiator
- New driveshaft u-joints
- New gear-drive starter motor
- Upgraded throttle cable system and carb shaft bushings
Transmission
- Replaced clutch with upgraded unit (<200 miles on it)
- New transmission tunnel covers
- New transmission support bushing
- New clutch slave cylinder
- New clutch hydraulic line and fresh fluid
Brakes
- New pads and shoes all around (<100 miles since)
- New slave cylinder on right rear
- Previous owner upgraded to braided aluminum lines prior to me purchasing it
- Upgraded to Goodparts dual brake master cylinder unit - separate front and rear master cylinders with adjustable bias (eliminates power booster, but this car doesn't need it)
Suspension / Chassis
- Upgraded rear suspension from lever shocks (cause Triumphs to float over bumps, and notorious for gradual failure over time) with straight shock conversion kit
- Underbody rust free, and much of it has been recently painted with rust preventative
Interior
- New seat foam
- New seat sliders
- New full "deluxe" upholstery kit from Moss in honey tan (original color was light blue), including seats, door cards, and other trim pieces
- New full carpet kit
- New top boot (not shown in the photos)
- New shift boot
- Replaced a section of the floor pan under the drivers floor mat that was damaged by brake fluid leaking from the prior brake master cylinder / booster
