1962 Triumph TR3 Description:
1962 Triumph TR3BProject car which is virtually rust free. Has clear open SC title. When I purchased this car back in 2012 I made sure I found the most solid TR3 I could. Mileage is unknown, and previous history is unknown. I believe it lived most of its life in California. There are some spots with minor rust but nothing completely rusted through like you would see on other cars (typically hidden behind fenders or on floor). Please view pictures of the car to see metal, there are dings and dents and needs plenty of attention but for the most part the car is very complete and comes with many extra bits. Car does roll and steer, all suspension components are on car as well as an engine, transmission, and rear end.
There are 2 engines and transmissions which come with the car. The engine out of the car is the matching number engine. Both transmissions are standard 4 speed transmissions not over speed. Second engine block is not shown in pictures. The carborators are new and purchased from Moss Motors. As you can see in the parts, there are many parts which are new or in very good condition. That being said, there are other parts as well as the car which still needs to be restored.
British Motor Company Heritage ran numbers on car and I do have matching engine for the car which is out of the car and disassembled. Color of interior was black and exterior color was Signal Red and had steel wheels. I have 2 sets of hub adaptors which someone could adapt wire wheels to the car. Other parts as shown in the pictures are a windshield, extra windshield frame, side curtains, extra side curtain sliding window, 2 grills, top frame, front bumper, capping pieces, all brackets needed, some new gaskets.There are many parts which are with the car and many duplicates. There is a new complete wiring harness, new carborators, and a bunch of other new bits (i.e. hinges, knobs, tail lights lenses).
