1986 Toyota MR2 Description:

This is a very nice looking example of the early MR2, it starts, runs, drives and stops as it should but make no mistake, this is not a show car. I know these cars well and I can honestly say it is better than 90% of the cars I normally see. It has no structural rust but it does have the beginnings of cosmetic rust in a number of areas and we have tried to show these areas. I would rather err on the negative side than have a disappointed buyer so I will denote what I have personally found to be needed. This car has PW, PL, PM, leather(tired) and AC although that probably needs conversion to 134. Since rust on these cars is a major concern let me again say this car has no structural corrosion but does have the beginnings of corrosion on the rocker corners, rear corner and driver rear wheel well. The passenger wheel well was repaired in the past and although it looks good it should be redone. There are only two very small holes on the passenger foot well. This car is also in need of a clutch, strut rebuild and at least the two rear tires. Driver seat is tired, passenger OK as are the rugs. Glass is all good, paint is fair(a ten footer). With just a little TLC this car will be an excellent daily fun car and will hold its' own with similar types at the show. With the same TLC plus some minimal body work and paint this can be a show car if desired. Everything is working other than AC at the moment and was daily driven until a few months ago when winter arrived. As always, no test pilots.
